Personal Journal using cigar box lids for covers.

On October 12th, 2024 there will be a bookbinding class at the Colorado Pen Show.  The class will run from 12:30pm to 3:30pm The class is tailored to bookbinders of all skills. We will be making a personal journal that has 200 pages, uses mainly Mohawk Superfine 70lb paper (fountain pen friendly), however, there may be other paper used. Waxed Irish linen thread. You don’t need to bring anything, just show up and make a journal.

The covers of the journals use repurposed cigar lids/boxes.  The journals are sewn using an easy Coptic stitch that dates back to the 2nd century. The journal opens flat for easy writing or drawing. The pages are blank but I include a dark line guide that you can put under the page you are writing on to help you write in a straight line.There will be a variety of journals to choose from.

The journals are unique and also make great gifts. So come join us.
